Freight Prepaid Minimum Increase Effective on all Terms account Orders placed on or after February 1st, 2024
New Freight Prepaid Minimum is $2,500 per order. Online Store Orders will have their freight increased proportionally.
Freight costs have been on a significant rise since the onset of the pandemic three years ago. Over two years ago, we implemented price increases to address the substantial rise in both freight and product costs amid the pandemic. Currently, we are witnessing a surge in domestic and international freight expenses, coupled with inflation and uncertainty, leading to another significant escalation in freight costs.
The Israel-Gaza conflict is impacting prices on inbound shipments from overseas, with container pricing steadily increasing since October. It has now risen by 200% compared to just three months ago.
Nationwide, domestic freight prices are experiencing elevated surcharges. In California, an additional per-shipment charge fee has been introduced to meet the state's clean air requirements. These surcharges and fees collectively result in a 23-49% increase in domestic freight costs, significantly elevating the prices associated with delivering our products nationwide.
Rather than raising prices, our strategy is to offset a significant portion of the rising costs by increasing the quantity shipped per order. Our freight prepaid minimum has been unchanged for over two decades, an accomplishment that underscores our commitment to stability and reliability. While we acknowledge the impact of this increase, we view it as the best move in navigating this challenging scenario.
